Jasz

4m • Short, Documentary • 2020

Crew

Director | Kathryn Michael Sheldon

Jasz, a larger than life story book type character was very much a real person, known for his world record snapping turtle capture (who was kept alive) that I knew as the family friend who would visit spontaneously with a truck of barking hunting dogs, stopped in the dining room with tales of all his travels. He was a beautiful soul, one whose reliance on the turtles for a way of living seems to have only deepened his respect and love for them. Jasz passed away about a year after this was filmed.
